Awkward Transition Trouble
As meteorologist Tomasz Schafernaker demonstrated in this 2018 incident, transitioning between news segments isn’t always seamless. When the scene unexpectedly panned to him early, Tomasz, unsure if he was live, greeted viewers with a repeated “Hello” and awkwardly picked at his clothes and nails when no feedback came.
At the time, he was working for the BBC and was known for his engaging and sometimes cheeky on-air presence. It’s interesting that Tomasz is also a talented artist, often sharing his impressive landscape and portrait paintings on social media. He was named Best TV Weather Presenter at the Television and Radio Industries Club Awards in 2010 and 2018.
