“You Don’t Know” and “Walkin’ Back to Happiness” were the two hits Helen Shapiro released in 1961. They got her on the top UK charts and even more impressive; she belted the tunes at the age of 14. Before achieving the huge milestone in her career, Allen occasionally teamed up with her brother Ron to perform in a skiffle group.
Following her comeback in 2010, she released “What Wondrous Love Is This,” which was her 14th studio album. Shapiro also dabbled in acting and appeared in productions like “Ring-A-Ding Rhythm” and “Let’s Face the Music.” She also teamed up with Simon Elman and Chrissy Rodgers to form the trio called Hebron in 2015.
